Prior work experience outside the translation industry:
Brazilian Tourist Board, Embratur from 1982 to 1985, coordinated overseas trips with members of U.S. Travel Press, provided input in design and distribution of promotional material, represented the country in trade shows, and the entity on a successful million-dollar advertising campaign involving the two major airlines (Pan Am and Varig).
Dutson Corporation, 1985 to 1986, head buyer of electronic components. Got first hand experience in the world of personal computing at an early stage of the industry.
Work experience on my own:
De Paula Publishing, 1990 to now, worked on concept, compilation, design and distribution of print international trade directories and the Brazilian Yellow Pages until early 2000s. Advertising sales.
